There is a bar on the beach with stools. It serves questionable alcohol in plastic bottles and it looks like they used a Palmolive Soap top to seal it off. They also have beer - which they said was Dos Equis.
I purchased beer at the shop before getting on the catamaran and got a nice buzz during the ride. I am not sure what they were serving in the beer - but I lost my buzz even with downing several cups of their dos equis. My goal was not to get drunk - just keep a nice vacation buzz going on the beach but it is impossible at this place. Probably would have gotten a lot better if I stayed in COzumel. The beach chairs are uncomfortable and the water is NOT like the pictures on here.
I went on a clear, sunny day with little wind. The water was calm and was much better looking in Cozumel. We wanted to leave after 10 minutes of being there, but unfortunately you are stuck for hours so we ended up wasting our whole day in Cozumel.
FOr anyone at the cruise port - i did hear from others on carnival that theres a hotel right when you get off that you can buy day passes and use their pool, eat food, and drinks. That sounds like a lot better option since you wont be trapped and can still do other things like Jet Skis or explore other parts of Cozumel. Remember the Corona commercials with the palms, sand and Ocean? This is THAT island! It is not over crowded, it's beautiful and relaxing, and the island staff are there to take care of everything for you.
A MUST do if you want a perfect day of relaxation. The excursion info is a little off, so here's what I can tell you. There is beach volleyball, soccer, some big wheel water toys as well. Please note: all folks on this island work for tips only, each group is independent of each other. Please take great care of them as they took great care of you. Loved, Loved, Loved this island!!! We did this excursion through Carnival and luckily no other ships were in port, so 38 of us had the whole island to ourselves. The chicken and rice were good. The mahi mahi was some of the best I have ever had along with the guacamole. The drinks were pretty small and pretty weak, but the dos equis is always good.
The hammocks Boat Excursion Cinque Terre World were nice and I think we were the only ones that checked them out. Extremely clean restroom facilities. The water is crystal clear, the sand is pure white.
